Being creative can enhance positive emotions, reduce depressive symptoms, alleviate stress, decrease anxiety, and even improve immune system functioning. When engaging in creative activities, such as using art materials, the right hemisphere of the brain (the creative side) becomes more active, allowing us to step away from the constant chatter of everyday life.

 

Creativity helps break down barriers that make us feel embarrassed about exploring, creating, and imagining—actions often seen as childlike. However, it is in this space that we can embrace a childlike freedom and delve into deeper issues that may interfere with our lives.
