Person-Centered Counselling

Person-Centred Counsellors must learn to ware their expertise like an invisible garment.

Mearns & Thorne

Counselling can help you explore in confidence the issues that are worrying you. Friends and family can often help, however, there are times when all good intentions are sometimes not helpful or emphatic without judgment.

Within the counselling process, there is no judging there is time and space with respect to you as an individual, helped via therapeutic facilitation of your own process to encourage you to find your own solutions so that you can move on with your life.

People come to counselling for all sorts of reasons. Some examples might be:

  • stress, anxiety

  •  relationship difficulties

  • issues from childhood.

  • low self-esteem

  • living with illness or disability

  • Bereavement & loss

  • addiction, substance misuse

  • depression, anger

  •  mid-life crisis

  • spiritual concerns

  • workplace problems

There is no agenda in counselling other than what you bring the choice is always yours, sometimes talking about one issue may lead you to another or simply a new journey to a more fulfilling life.
